A Note From the Headmaster
Dear Glendale Prep Community,

I was also reminded this weekend – both at the senior retreat and a faculty social – that this community is such a special place. Over the last five years, I have seen and experienced more growth than I could have ever imagined. For every concern that I have witnessed, the number of excellences I have observed are far greater. This can only happen when people care deeply for each other and genuinely desire to grow. As I leave Glendale Prep, I thank you all for your care, sincerity, and trust over these years. I am humbled by the regular outpouring of support in our community, and I am fortunate to count my time at Glendale Prep the proudest period of my life.

With bittersweet gratitude,
Brandon Crowe
Headmaster

Traffic Reminders
Parents, we need to be conscientious of the neighborhoods in our community. Please remember that you can only wait to pick up students on the north side of the park on Pinnacle Peak, east of 83rd avenue. You may not wait on the east or south side of the park. Thank you for your cooperation.

High School Epic Cycle
The High School Epic Cycle was a huge success! Thank you to Mr. Mahar for leading it, as well as all of the teachers that generously volunteered their own time off to be there with our students.

TODAY: PSO Restaurant Night
Join us this afternoon for Restaurant Night at Culver’s on 83rd Ave. & Deer Valley Rd. from Noon to 8:00 p.m. Show the paper flyer or the flyer from your smart phone when you check out. Invite your family and friends; all proceeds go toward the Senior Trip.

College Counseling
Save the date! October 2nd is our Arizona State University FAFSA Workshop. This important workshop will take place in the Archway Multipurpose Room from 6 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. College Counseling encourages all senior and senior parents to attend this informational evening program to learn more about this important part of the college process. Contact Mrs. Sarbacker with any questions at ksarbacker@glendaleprep.org.

Seniors Alexandra Indacochea, Steven Cochrane, and Madison Cullum have been named National Merit Hispanic Scholars! Students qualify for National Hispanic Scholars by their PSAT scores and overall academic record. Congratulations to our three seniors!

All Great Hearts juniors and parents of juniors are encouraged to attend the 11th Annual Great Hearts College Symposium. This year, the event will be hosted by Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. We hope to see you there!

Attending the NACAC College Fair in October or the upcoming college fairs happening around the state? Sign up on GoToCollegeFairs and/or StriveScan. Using scanners is a more efficient way to exchange information.

Tax Credit
Your tax dollars allow us to offer Cross Country! Thank you!
What happens outside of the classroom is important to your student’s education. It is Glendale Prep’s mission to bring up Great Hearted scholars who learn and develop not only through academics, but also through sports, field trips, after school clubs, on-campus speakers, and other character building programs. The funding for all of these activities is provided through our Tax Credit drive.

Please help us support these programs by giving your Tax Credit to Glendale Prep. Remember, you will receive your contribution back as a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona State taxes. Just click here to make a contribution! If you have any questions, please contact Cathy Sparks at 623.889.0822 or go to csparks@glendaleprep.org
