A Note From the Headmaster
This last Wednesday evening, we had two guest speakers for a parent event. GreatHearts Director of Counseling, Lauren Katz, our Glendale Prep counselor, Molly Caldwell, presented on anxiety. The presentation was followed by a time of questions and answers. Here are a few takeaways that I think are important for all parents to know:
View here a handout from the evening on stress. We are hoping to have at least one more talk in the Spring, so I hope as many of you can attend and benefit from it as possible. Look for information about the Spring session in a weekly blast. Sincerely, PSO SNOWSTORM You can also send your donations in with your student or hand them to one of the PSO volunteers on the curb all next week. All monetary donations collected will be pooled, divided evenly, and presented to faculty and staff as an amazing gift before the holiday break. We encourage families to participate as this donation is meant to be in lieu of individual holiday gifts for our teachers and staff. 7th & 8th Grade Dance -TONIGHT! Graduation orders are due by Friday, January 18th to avoid any increase in pricing. Graduation items may also be purchased online here. If you have any questions, please email Ms. McLoughlin at tmcloughlin@glendaleprep.org. New Griffin Lapel Pin for Seniors Parent-Teacher Conferences A separate e-mail was sent from SignUp Genius with a link to reserve a time slot for your conference. If you have multiple students at GP, you were sent separate SignUp Genius emails with a unique link for each grade/section. If you did not receive the SignupGenius email, please contact Mrs. Hayakawa at shayakawa@glendaleprep.org right away. Please do not send requests for conferences via email. Conferences are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please report to the front office at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled conference time. Conferences are scheduled back to back; therefore, your timeliness is very important. We thank you in advance for your support in helping to make these important academic events a success. Please be sure to read your student’s semester evaluations carefully prior to conferences. Student evaluations will be emailed to parents before January 7th.
