A Note From the Headmaster

This last Tuesday, we had a wonderful Winter concert! For a semester, Ms. Cox, Mr. Liles, and our students put in so much work leading up to the big night. Our Director of Operations, Tera McLoughlin, put countless hours into planning the rehearsal and evening. Mr. and Mrs. Palubinskas oversaw the plethora of cookies that were graciously donated by our parents. I loved seeing three of our students showcase their love and talent; two at the piano and another at the flute. Even Mr. Crowe came with his third son to enjoy seeing our students again. It was delightful to see parents and family members come together to behold the beauty. I was able to sit and enjoy the concert with my family, seeing my former students and former basketball players sing. Lastly, it was very special to hear our faculty sing and see our students honor them. What a special event; I hope all of you were blessed as well!Sincerely,
Mr. Navarrette
Headmaster

Community Investment
Dear Glendale Prep Families,
I am grateful every day for the opportunities our students receive at GP. The Great Hearts education being offered to our scholars will have a lasting and deep impact on their lives and our community. This education is only possible with your support. If you’ve made your gifts to our Community Investment campaign and Tax Credit drive, thank you!!

If you’ve yet to make your gifts, please do so soon. Winter Break is coming and it’s time to complete your charitable giving for 2018!

  • Gifts to our Community Investment campaign help us close the gap between what we receive in public funding and the actual cost to deliver a Great Hearts education to our students. Community Investment campaign gifts are fully tax-deductible.
  • Gifts to our Tax Credit drive support our extra-curricular, athletic, and character-building programs. Tax Credit contributions are received back as a dollar-for-dollar credit off your Arizona State tax liability.

Together we can form our students’ hearts and minds in virtue and truth! Thank you for partnering with Glendale Prep!

Please contact Cathy Sparks with questions at csparks@glendaleprep.org or call 623.889.0822 ext. 1502.

Glendale Preparatory Academy Football Coach
Rob Addicott will take the helm of Glendale Preparatory Academy’s varsity football program. Rob is an accomplished coach with the experience and work ethic to take Griffin football to new heights. Coach Addicott served as an assistant coach at Sunrise Mountain High School, where he coached wide receivers and defensive backs for the junior varsity team and earned a 9-0 record. He also coached freshman defensive backs and assisted in training wide receivers, earning a 21-4 record over two years. As a youth head coach, he helped develop the Knights Football program, coaching multiple teams at multiple age levels. His youth teams boasted an incredible 44-3-1 record and appeared in eight championship games. Coach Addicott is credited with helping student-athletes reach the next level of competition. Several of his former players are starters on 4A, 5A, and 6A teams in the area, including the starting quarterbacks at Sandra Day O’Connor and Cactus High School, as well as offensive and defensive players at Liberty and Sunrise Mountain High School.

Coach Addicott believes his experience at Sunrise Mountain High School football program cemented a strong philosophy of coaching where the emphasis is on the basics: work hard and paying attention to details will bring success, and winning will soon follow. Coach Addicott looks forward to working with the committed and supportive staff at Glendale Prep and building on the past successes of the Griffin football team. Coach Addicott is a licensed physical therapist and a board-certified orthopedic specialist. He owns STAR Physical Therapy, which offers physical therapy, fitness training, and performance training to athletes.

There will be a “meet the coach” event Tuesday, December 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the gym where Coach Addicott will share plans for a year-long weights program, Spring Passing League, as well as events for summer and next fall. Please plan to attend and show your support for our new coach.
