Book & Supply Lists

Classics to Keep

It is the tradition of Great Hearts and Glendale Prep to inspire students to develop a personal library of literary classics they can keep, annotate, and return to throughout their academic careers. Therefore, we encourage parents to purchase these “Classics to Keep” so that your student may graduate with an impressive library of literary masterpieces.

So that all students use the text aligned with the class and curriculum, parents must purchase texts with the exact ISBN provided. However, for families that do not wish to purchase their own texts, students will be given access to an academy copy to be used as a part of the curriculum. Students should not mark in the books provided by Glendale Prep and books must be returned once classwork is finished.

Consumables

These include books published by Glendale Prep, select workbooks, field trip contributions, PSAT and ACT testing fees for 9th-11th grade, etc. Consumables for each grade level will be handed out at Bookstore or passed out in class by their teacher. Please select the appropriate grade level to purchase your student’s “Consumables” PRIOR to the GP Bookstore. However, for families that do not wish to purchase their own consumables, students will be given access to academy copies to be used as a part of the curriculum. Students should not mark in the books provided by Glendale Prep and books must be returned once classwork is finished.

Supply Lists

General and Grade Level Supply Lists are recommended items your student will need for the first day of school. You can purchase these items on your own from your favorite vendor.

Kleenex and whiteboard markers are always in high demand at the school. Any donations are greatly appreciated.

Textbooks

Students at Glendale Prep place a textbook deposit only once during their stay at Glendale Prep. The textbook deposit is collected at registration and refunded upon exiting Glendale Prep. Textbooks are issued to each student at Bookstore for use during the academic year. These textbooks remain the property of the school. Textbook covers are required and paper book covers are preferred. This helps to preserve the quality of the book for future students. Textbook deposits will be refunded in full ONLY if textbooks are turned in on time and are in good, usable condition. Please note, families who would like to purchase a second set of textbooks to keep at home may, but they are not required.

Home copy textbook donations are always greatly appreciated. Textbooks are a huge cost to the school.
